On April 29, 2015, volunteers from Bank of Georgetown, BB&T, Capital One, E*TRADE, M&T Bank, SunTrust and Wells Fargo all came together with one mission in mind: Financial Literacy.
Metro Washington Bankers Group member banks partnered to provide students in Ballou Senior
High School 9th Grade Academy and Cesar Chavez Public Charter School- Parkside Campus, 8th grade class with counseling to help them make better financial decisions.
236 students from 9th Grade Academy were educated during the morning session and 194 students from the 8th grade class were educated during the afternoon session.
